Background I love managing people, and developing managers. Over many years, I've developed a toolbox of practical methods for the daily practice of the art of management: hiring, managing individual and team performance, and finding solutions in challenging relationships between employees and management. My experience teaching and developing managers spans a 20-plus year career as a general manager, consultant, and senior client relationship manager in financial services.
My general management experience includes key turnaround roles in a money center bank, as well as in a small Lower Manhattan business following the World Trade Center attacks. I've provided a wide range of consulting services to executives in investment banking, asset management, insurance, software development, consulting, and personal services firms.
I graduated from the University of Chicago with undergraduate degree in Behavioral Sciences, and worked full time in New York while attending the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where I studied finance and entrepreneurship and earned an MBA. I'm still engaged with Wharton, as leader of the Wharton Women in Business alumnae group, and on campus as a volunteer speaker/instructor in programs for students.
