Managing Workplace Stress We’re
faced today with demands to operate our businesses with leaner teams,
in an uncertain environment. To achieve results, we need all hands on
deck -- focused and healthy. Our stress reactions can exacerbate
already difficult circumstances.
Mindfulness Based Stress
Reduction (MBSR) offers a unique approach to stress management. The
methods are direct and analytical, make use of ordinary workplace behaviors, and are particularly well suited for
denizens of the corporate world.
Stress Strategies Workshop Everyone knows that the effects of stress don't
feel good, but did you know that stress can affect productivity?
In this one hour program, we'll talk about why stress matters, and use basic workplace behaviors -- sitting, breathing, and paying
attention -- to practice some basic
mindfulness methods, and how to bring them to bear in daily life.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction: Introductory Program
- Four weekly 2-hour sessions to learn techniques
- Interim group mentoring sessions (via teleconference) reinforce learning
- Textbook and course materials support the development of new skills
Over the past
several years, Anne has offered mindfulness programs and instruction to a
wide range of organizations and individuals. We're fortunate to have mentorship and support from Michael Baime MD, Director of the
University of Pennyslvania’s Penn Program for Stress Management.
